The Finale!! Last Two Days - Aug 1 and Aug 2

This picture was taken from our campsite looking down behind it. See how small Ethan looks?
That's how steep it was. I was quite thankful that Peter was old enough to handle it.
Will took the kid's on a hike after lunch. They went up Goldstream to the waterfall.

Bushwacking.

Lots of stairs. Peter walked the whole hike.
The waterfall - nothing big but remarkable nonetheless.

And cold!
It's always fun when your feet go entirely numb.

Contemplating life.
Back at the campsite - posing for the camara - as usual.

Dad at the helm again.
Not sure what was going on here.

Matthew and Peter went to the water tap to have a drink and this is what they found.
Both of them, with Matthew in front came running back to the campsite in a panic. Matthew was crying in fear and exclaimed "I think I saw a fox!!". Dad calmly said "Let's go back and have a look." Matthew had only seen the ears so it's understandable that he thought the deer was a fox. Both boys were very excited to see a deer so up close.
This is the next day on the ferry - the boys were watching a show on TV and we thought it was just so cute how Peter kept nuzzling Matthew to make sure he was still there for security.

Another ferry coming our way.

Up close.

It was very windy through Active Pass.
Thankfully, even though we made reservations for 11am we were able to get on the 10am and thus home for lunch. It was great to be home again and sleep in our own bed.
Thank you LORD for keeping us safe on our trip. We had a great time enjoying your creation.
