Do Not Be Discouraged

On Feburary 9th we sold our house.  In 3 days we had 15 showings and 5 offers.  Everyone worked hard to make it happen.  Special thanks to our realtor for all his help.  I am very thankful to the LORD for this blessing.  I never had a showing on a day I was alone with the girls. It was all on the long weekend with plenty of help - Thank God!!!

This is our new house!!
With alittle work....we can make it happen :).

One of our favourite verses. Set into action last week after the excitement from the sale dissipated.
The thoughts went something like "Ack!!  Where are we going to live?"
and eventually (thankfully !!) they settled into the ones that come from the knowledge that God loves our family and will take care of us.  Phew!!! That sure took a lot of my stress away.

We had a "board" meeting to discuss the pros and cons of buying a contending property.
Here you see some pros.  One being "Potential sewing room/space" - Wahoo!!!
The last one "closer to WoWo" is in reference to Aleana's man Will.  Madilyn calls him "WoWo" and she is MADLY in love with the guy.  More so than Aleana (outwardly anyway) to the point that the jealousy bug needs to be debugged and reassured once and awhile.  It's okay Aleana I'm sure he doesn't just come over to visit Madilyn when she only get's 10% of his time :).

Aleana made this picture for a friend and I'm using it here as a reminder that God is in charge.
He used these words to Joshua before battle and maybe I haven't had to go into a battle but sometimes I feel like it in so many different ways.  I have to fight my negative thoughts, I have to fight the sin in my own life, I have to fight the sin in my children's lives with CONSTANT discipline (what are the chances with 6 children that they are all good in one day or hour even?) and I have to fight the evil forces of society around us.  That's alot of battle going on, but I will not be discouraged.
God is on our side.

  1. Congratulations on the sale ... the purchase (?) ... the impending move ... everything! What an exciting time it must be for all of you
I was quite excited when I saw "Closer to WoWo" on the list ... assuming it must have been a misspelling of WofO ... of course, there can't possibly be such a wonderful rural property between your present house and WofO ... so where is it that you're moving?

  3. Hi Lyn,
We don't know yet. Being closer to WofO would definitely be in the PROS!!
When things are more concrete I'll announce it. Thanks for asking.

  5. Exciting and scary all the same! That text is one of my favourites. We had an excellent sermon on it while I was expecting Joshua. Therefore his name. :-)
