Centennial Beach Day

It's very interesting what older siblings find amusing.

Poor Nadia was totally oblivious.

We wanted to go to the Cultus Lake Waterslides for the day UNTIL we found out that it would cost $150 for our wee family. Gulp!!! We all discussed it and decided to go to Centennial Beach instead. Beach + $10 for ice cream afterwards = priceless.

Who needs waterslides anyway?!?

Our little camp to protect from the sun and the wind.

With the wind it was actually chilly (for me anyway).

Nadia had a hoot getting sand in every oriface of her body.

This is fun Mom!!!

And fun to watch Nadia!

She actually found charcoal from a previous fire and had a black mouth before we noticed.

It took about five seconds for us to figure out why she was foaming black from her mouth.

Gross!!! Thankfully that's all it was and not some narly necrotic mouth disease :).

The gang returning from beach combing.

Aleana taking me out to the shore. I was holding onto her because those rocks are sharp!!!
The kids laughed at this picture and said that I looked like an old lady.

That reminds me of Matthew and what he said the other day.

"Mom, you have grey hair (not much, but it's there) and you are still having babies!! That's amazing!!"

Compliment or insult? What do you say?

Lean on me...

Sun bathing

Will taking his job very seriously.

I love the swing!!
I forgot my sweater and like I said - it was chilly!!

What a fun day :). That you Cultus for gouging (splg) your customers because it turned out beautiful for us. We enjoyed God's creation instead.

  1. Okay, $150 is just insane. The Toronto Zoo charged us about $100 (that is with a coupon!) and Bethany was even free. There are parks around here that charge $6.50 per adult just to hike in them. Kids under 5 are free. So even going to certain parks around here cost our family $27 or so. Nothing special at these parks except a walking trail. People wonder why we spend so much time at the library! :)

Nadia looks adorable with the Cheerios.

Hopefully someday we can compare our grey hairs. I have an abundance now! BTW, my 46 year old acquaintance/friend from Neerlandia is expecting her 11th child in January. So imagine yourself at 46 and how grey you will be then. You have many years to go! :-) Hahahaha...
