I got stuck there for awhile.
The quilting on that one was very detailed.

It was too bad this one didn't work out because I love turtles.
I have to print it anyway because someday I want to do a turtle quilt.

This one was just amazing!!
I love purple and I love green but I never would have put them together. I love it!!
The boys looking at the lego displays.
The creative possibilities were endless.
What's the fair without going on the ferris wheel.

I love the natural joy on their faces!
I used the zoom so they didn't even know I was taking it.

Look over there!!
Here we are at the border and Nadia was losing her patience from the long day.
Hey, don't record my misery!! Just let me be!!
Seriously you guys this is not funny, I'm really fed up with this situation.
Maybe you can distract me for alittle while with Aleana's watch but my eyes are getting heavy.
Now Ethan put that camara away or I'm not going to sleep at all!!
After we got through the border we stopped in Aldergrove to nurse Nadia but alas that didn't help matters. She cried the whole way home :(. Overall, we had a lovely day and when we got home at 8pm everyone was more than ready for bed!!! Including Mom.
What a fun day! Love all the quilts! GORGEOUS! My favourite part of fairs, though, are the animals. We missed the Ancaster Fall Fair last weekend because of prior engagements. Next year, for sure. It will be more fun next year, because Bethany is becoming easier.
ReplyDeleteHi, Gloria,
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all got to the Lynden Fair. Enjoyed the photos. The ferris wheel ones are especially nice!
Have a blessed week. Hope to see you on Oct.8!
Love from,
Dad and Hilda
Looks like you had a lot of fun! Except for the border line up and crying... should have stopped here for tea! Next time, ok?
ReplyDeleteGloria, I was looking up your post about how you got started with quilting, because I have been thinking that I would love to make a memory quilt out of Amryn and Rachel's clothes and blankets... but I have no idea where to start. I just got a sewing machine (that's where the inspiration has come from) but I still have to figure out how to use it. I suppose that is my first step :)
Do you ever use patterns? Or do you suggest I just make a block quilt and keep it easy? Maybe I should have you over for tea and you can give me some tips ;)
