Deroche - Aug 28-Sept 1, 2013
For a couple of Labour Day long weekends we have gone to Deroche, B.C. with the Van Delft clan.
We always have a grand time and the kids LOVE it!!! What's not to love? They have....a waterslide,
a pool,
a cozy cabin with a loft,
a bat house,
a dog,
swings,
to make them giggle,
flowers to make them stand in awesome wonder,
and of course, dwarfs (!!!??).
The best part was Auntie Alice and Uncle Colin had baby Jude on Monday morning
- on labour day, go figure!!! What a blessing!!!

Manning Park 2013
This was the weather at the end of our trip. I have some pictures from the rainy days on the other camara.
We didn't last. I was fed up after 2 days of rain and we packed up and came home 3 days early.
We had alot of sunny days at the beginning - yah!!! We went hiking almost every day and this is how Madilyn traveled. She loved her backpack!!
What a good way to travel!!!
Aleana with her Auntie Michelle.
After awhile it does get a little boring.
You can't see it very well - but I chose these two pictures because you can see Joel's and Matthew's ribs.
Matthew was very scared to do this and you can see it in his face. But he did it and I'm happy for him that he did!!! It was good for his confidance.
Grandma and Grandpa Bredenhof came up for supper - fun!!!
We had Smores around the fire - delicious.
One trail we hiked on was a cross country ski trail. That's why these outhouses are so high!! This was Nadia's first experience with an outhouse. She asked what the hole was for and I explained and instead of protesting (or refusing to go like some of our children!) she replied "Okay" and dropped her drawers!!!
The boys were very excited to accompany Uncle Ryan on his bug adventures. This is rare bug that only comes out every 21 years!! Ryan was very thrilled that he found this guy!!
This shot reminded Aleana and I of a scene from Alice in Wonderland.
An old Chevy we found on one of our rainy day adventures. Aleana takes cool pictures.
By 4pm we were all packed up and ready for home. Yah!! It was fun but once the rain came - it was NOT!! We had a good week with lots of good hiking, fishing and canoeing.
Thank you LORD for keeping all of us safe!!
